How to customize your folder icon with your own photo in PCs.

Folder, basically a yellow colored look like file icon where we can store our music, videos, photos etc. If you are a Window user, Then you must familiar with folders.

How to create folders?

Right click(Mouse) >> select new >> from options click on new folder . 

Unlike Mac OS, we can customize our folder icon. So how to use our photo as a folder icon. !

Step 1 - Open the Paint application on your computer.

(How- Go to start button >> all programs >> accessories)

Step 2 - Click on the OPEN option from the top left corner. (Paint)

Step 3 - Re size the photo by horizontally & vertically 32 x 32.

Step 4 - Save the photo as 24 bit bitmap image along with  .ico file name extension.

             ( i.e.- image.ico)

Step 5 - Press Save option.

Your icon file is ready to use as  a folder icon. Next, HOW TO MAKE YOUR PHOTO AS A FOLDER ICON. ?

Step 1 - Select your desired folder, right click on it.

Step 2 - Select Properties from bottom option.

Step 3 - Choose the Customize Tab.

Step 4 - Click on the Change Icon Option.

Step 5 - Browse your icon. Press OK.

Step 6 - Press Again OK & Apply.

Your are successfully change your photo as a folder icon. Thank you.
